Updated Security Helps Williamson County Keep an Eye on Community

Unique solutions for better security

“ Knight does a great job of determining our needs and making sure the install and configurations are done right.”
- Chris Ball | Infrastructure Engineer, Williamson County

County justice centers are unique facilities to secure due to the wide range of people who work or visit on a daily basis. Williamson County, in particular, had several areas of major risk at its Justice Center. In one of the fastest growing counties in the United States, a facility that can often have high emotions needed an update, and quickly! Working with the Williamson County representatives, Knight Security Systems set new standards for what was needed throughout the facility, then tailored a plan to achieve those standards. A new video surveillance system using Genetec technology and ongoing system health monitoring by Knight Security Systems gave the Judges, staff and guests of the Williamson County Justice Center the protection they needed.

As a Genetec Unified Elite partner with the highest number of Genetec certified technicians and support personnel in Texas, Knight was uniquely positioned to be able to expand Williamson County's existing Genetec system to include high-definition, vandal- resistant video technology. Expertly installed cabling and network edge devices allowed Knight to connect the upgraded surveillance system to the existing network resources provided by the Williamson County IT department. The result was 400 new surveillance cameras across 18 facilities to protect all Williamson County’s people and assets.
