Knight helps school install secure, critical system
South Texas College of Law Houston is a small, private accredited law school in downtown Houston with a stellar trial advocacy program and now, too, an impressive security system.
However, the school’s security system didn’t always measure up to the quality of its law curriculum.
Before Knight was asked by Kent Brazelton, Director of Security, to spearhead a total system installation, the school was home to disparate, aging equipment creating the need to upgrade to a more modern platform.
What Knight found was an immediate need to secure building access, make satellite parking more secure and shore up intrusion detection programs. There were multiple platforms for the school’s video, access control and alarm systems, none of which communicated with the other, making system-wide integration extremely difficult.
Classing up school security
However, to bring the school’s security system in line with the quality of its curriculum, Knight custom-designed, built and implemented an integrated, state of the art video, access control and intrusion detection system that unified security for all campus buildings and parking areas.
