Video Surveillance Systems are typically associated with the goal of deterring and/or capturing break-ins and other acts of theft. However, as one of our recent installations has realized, a properly installed Video Surveillance System can also play a role as a vital tool towards solving their overall security and safety concerns.
Last year Knight Security Systems was awarded the State’s largest security project, installing and networking 3,200 video cameras across 12 campuses for the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS). Since the DADS project was awarded, Knight Security Systems has diligently and successfully completed the project 8 months ahead of schedule and includes state supported living centers in Mexia, San Angelo, Denton, San Antonio, El Paso, Abilene, Lubbock and Lufkin.
Since completion, the installations have already started to show just how important Knight Security’s Video Surveillance Systems are. The most notable occurring at the Lubbock Center where two employees were caught on tape apparently, intentionally harassing a mentally disabled resident (full story found on Lubbock Online).
We are pleased with the success of the project thus far and are looking forward to seeing the how the other locations benefit in the future.
